Well Christmas has come and gone and the holidays have flown by once again. With the return to school just around the corner we thought we would share some school lunchbox ideas to get the year off to a healthy start.
Ways to get fruit and veg into the lunch box….
Carrot sticks with hummas
Corn cobs cooked and cut into quarters
Vege kebabs (toothpicks with cucmber, cherry tomatoes and cheese)
Fruit kebabs (toothpicks with any fruit)
Celery sticks with peanut butter
Corn fritters – I use trusty Edmonds recipe i just make them smaller. https://edmondscooking.co.nz/recipes/fritters/sweetcorn-fritters/
Vege fritters – same as corn fritters but instead of corn add grated carrot or leftover roasted vege (mashed or chopped)
Mini vege quiche – (egg + cheese + ham + any vege, mix and put into muffin pans
Wraps (cream cheese, ham, grated carrot and grated cheese)
We also have beeswax wraps avaliable so you can ditch the gladwrap.
Don’t forget we have the kids corner in store where the kids can do some colouring in while you shop.
